Does Religion Make People Behave Better?

Some people in society would be lost without religion. Religion provides structure, guidelines on how to live: ie leads to having a less chance of behaving poorly. In this day and age society is what it is and we have to live in it. It takes all types of people to make the world go round. I don't think the majority of people in society, at least in the United States of America are willing to descend into chaos because of the laws that are insituted by our government.
