You were probably malnourished. Those crazy diets like the one you tried and the gfruit diet and so on are potentially harmful if done long enough. Do research about a diet that doesnt cut out entire food groups, but that limits certain foods and adds other foods that are good for your body type and help with your metabolism. your weight loss will last longer and you wont be hurting yourself in the process. Youll be doing it the healthy way.

wow, this is very well written. vivid detail. I can't really tell what is going on as I don't know any of the background or characters, especially immediately following the young boy's beating. As an author myself, I am a firm believer that nothing is too "gross" to be put in a story. The more horrifying the better - without some sense of shock, the reader will only experience a hum-drum story that lacks the "wow factor". Just be careful to approach sensitive situations with delicacy; ie the beating of a young boy, a , etc anything like that that could come off distasteful and turn off your reader if handled in the wrong way. I think what you have is fine. Its not excessive, but is rather just enough to shock your reader into paying attention and keeping them interested in reading more. good luck!

I tried to download a program on limewire, and im guessing i downloaded some sort of adware or virus because when i tried to open the program i immediatly had my computer shut down on me. then when i was online and wanted to do to a website it would re-direct me to marketing websites. this is a mess. now when i try to get on to windows it says "windows has discovered a change that will result in limited Windows functionality. How to keep the car windows clean in the winter?

I have a 1999 Toyota Camry and I am having quite a bit of trouble keeping the windows clean now. I tried the defrosting and defogging methods to clean the windows clean, but nothing seems to work. The windows (especially the back and side windows) are foggy all the time and it's hard to see through those windows while driving. Is there any way to keep those windows clean? I had this done to me. I had polyps in my nasal septum and they had to remove mine too. They will put you to sleep. If they are going to cut anything than they will put you to sleep. For the pain, it didn't hurt too bad. For me, the worst part was having to flush out my sinuses by salt water up my nose. It felt like when you get water up your nose when swimming. But if your folks are christians then they should forgive you for not doing what they wanted. I'm not sure if his reaction is common but I know my father took my brother straight down to the recruiting office when my brother graduated high school. My brother joined the navy did his 4 years and when he got out he had the skills to jump right into a successful career. My best advice is to try and sit down and have a heart to heart talk with your folks and maturely explain how you feel with out getting emotional. Maybe compromise and go into a branch of the military that isn't so dangerous like the navy or air force? Like I said earlier in the end this is your life and your choice. Good luck. Advice for a 20 year old guy?

I'm 20 years old, and lately I have been feeling horrible about life and very confused. It all sorta happened when I started looking at people's Facebook pictures they were tagged in or just going through random people's pages. I live in a town in Ohio that is very poor and there is nothing fun to do here. I feel extremely depressed because I look at all of these people in college and it looks like they are having the time of their life. I go to college, but I just go to local community college. I will be a sopre this fall in college. I'm different from where I was in high school. I didn't try in high school at all because honestly my parents never pushed me to do anything and never punished me. They just let me do whatever I wanted, but I wasn't ever a bad kid. They never asked my grades or even explained what college was to me. Only reason I went to college because my buddy explained this community college to me and I found a degree I was interested in, and my first year I did extremely well in college. When I look at Facebook, I see all these kids in school, and I feel like their parents pushed them and prepared them for college and life. I learned everything on my own with no guidance from my parents really. I just feel like these kids at like Ohio University are having the times of their lives. All they do is drink, party and have and they live with no regrets. My life is working a job I hate, I go to school, and I workout, and I don't really do anything else. I know almost everyone my age just parties, drinks, and hook ups with people in their free time when they aren't working, but I'm not that way at all. I don't drink because I feel like it would take me off my goal in life, and every party I have been to honestly wasn't fun and I didn't feel happy being at these parties or clubs. I would really like to find a girl who doesn't drink or party and would like to settle down in a relationship. When I think about finding a girl, I get really let down cause I feel like most girls my age in college don't want to settle down, and most people I talk to say girls in college don't want a relationship, they just want to hook up with whoever because they are away from their parents and have no regrets for 4 years of their lives, so they just sleep with whoever can satisfy them, and it really sucks cause all I want is a good relationship with a girl I trust and settle down with, but I feel like the at this time in my life where I really want it the most, is the time in everyone's else life where they don't, cause I ume most people at my age just want to explore themselves with a carefree life style. As much as I'm oppose that stuff, I feel like this is the time of my life where I should do that to possibly feel happy, but instead I'm stuck in this crappy town where every girl here is either a druggy, obese, an alcoholic, or they have a kid. Hot flash/sensitive skin/acne flare up...help?

Okay. Recently (past few months) i have been getting these "flare ups", and they are kind of like a hot flash just in the facial area, thats how it feels to me. like i could just be walking and i stop, and my face gets all hot, itchy, sweaty, and i could be in a freezing cold room. I havent been using any different products. They dont happen often. But i get them like for a week and then they go away and come back, and then the next week after them my skin begins to clear up. But when i have the flashes my face breaks out, and i get wierd acne. I use cetaphil to wash my face, and epiduo as a topical cream. On weekends when i dont have to wake up early in the morning i notice my face is more clear. I just am asking for any advice, or solution. Today in P.E. we had to jog/walk/run to get at least 3,000 steps(digiwalker thing) when i stoped running my face felt like it was literally on fire(and tight), and my entire face was seriously as red as a beet. I could understand how you would think he is cheating on her and I am sorry you have to deal with this. I think your best bet is to talk to your dad about this if you guys have a good relationship. There could be a very logical explanation to all of this and you don't want to hurt your mom for no reason. The thing with Irish wolfhounds is they will run and run and run, until they are completely exausted or have a heat stroke. I would not let him run around or walk for more than one hour at a time. If you let him outside, only leave him out for about an hour or less. If you are going to walk him, and hour long very brisk walk or run will not hurt him. He is the same as other dogs, but does not show tiredness. No other special needs. The main thing with husky mixes is to make sure they do not take the role of the alpha. You are the alpha. When walking, if he starts to pull, grab him by the nape of his neck and pull. That is what a mother dog or alpha would do to discipline them.

Need help training my quaker parrot?

I have a quaker parrot and she was given to us about a year ago. Her wings are clipped and she goes in and out of her cage and she has a bunch of toys she plays with and does her preening. When she came to us she had been abused and she doesn't like men. That is only part of the problem, the problem is that i go online and look for ways to train her but the thing is she is afraid of everything. I try and reward her for doing something right or good but she is terrified of the fruit or veggies and if its a toy, she only likes the toys that are hanging in her cage. If i put a g or carrot or anything that doesn't come with her food in her food bowl, she doesn't even go near it, i have to take out the fruit or veggie i put in so she can eat again. She has gotten a lot better since we got her, when i get near her she doesn't scream, she only screams if my hand is too close to her or her cage or if any man or someone who really scares her. I feed a stray cat that's in my neighborhood and there's my neighbor's cat that I think is wayyyyy too skinny (she has 4 dogs and prefers her dogs over her cats - the cats are really her daughters, but the daughter moved and didn't take the them) so I make sure to feed him everynight and give him attention. He's gone a bit ferrel, so occasionally he'll nip at me and stuff, but otherwise, he's so sweet. And SO beautiful. If I could I'd take him as my own, but I'm afraid of what he'd do to my other cats.

Ok, so I don't just mope about 24/7. For the most part, I am happy. But lately I have been having problems sleeping, and my appetite has changed [I'm hardly ever hungry anymore]. I've had bad physical pain for a while now, but lately it has been much worse. Occasionally I will have a sudden onset of sadness, for what seems like no reason. It usually happens for about 15 minutes, then goes away, but it is unbearable when it happens. It is times like these when I am sure I have depression. But my mom doesn't think I do because I'm normally not sad. Is it possible I have a form of depression, or that I'm beginning to show signs of it?

Can't remember name of 1980's horror movie.?

I watched on television, so it may have been a "movie of the week" type production. Years later, I ran across it while channel surfing, and quickly changed the channel once I realized what it was. I think it was actually a collection of three or four short horror stories, ala Creepshow. But the part I remember was about a fancy woman who removed a chain or an amulet from a small creepy looking statue in her house to wear with her outfit. She returns home to discover that the statue has come to life! It is a small, black, hairy "man" with lots of teeth. (Think of Critters, but with the body of a man, standing a few inches tall.) It chases her around the house with a spear or a knife, chattering and growling, moving very fast. She eventually traps it in the oven and burns it alive, only to accidently inhale the smoke and become possessed thus she begins acting and making sounds similar to the creature. I think the thing was called a fertility idol or idol. Does this sound familiar to anyone? What it the name of this movie. I want to find it on VHS so I can show my friends. I remember sitting on the floor while I watched it, and it freaked me out so much I climbed up on the couch. Lots of "monster under the bed" imagery.

Suffering from RLS (Restless Legs Syndrome)?

My mom found an article which stated that RLS can be caused by a deficiency of magnesium and potium. She and I both have suffered from RLS. The article recommended taking three 250 mg Magnesium supplements and two 550mg Potium Gluconate supplements per day. Both must be taken with food. We have been doing this for about three months and the RLS is gone!!!! The only time I experience RLS symptoms is if I drink any type of caffeinated beverage during the day. Further research I did stated that you should also take a calcium supplement as this helps your body absorb the magnesium better. Hope this helps those of you RLS sufferers out there!

Is canned wet food bad for kittens?

We just rescued a kitten that was trapped in my best friend's garage for several days. I took her to the groomers (to be cleaned and given a flea bath, if she had fleas, which she did not) and she was also at the vet yesterday. She's very thin, but other than being malnourished and having an upper respiratory infection (which we got meds for), she's very healthy. She was tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDs; both were negative. But she only weighs about 2.14 pounds and the vet said she should weigh about 4 pounds for her approx. age, which can't be more than 12 or 14 weeks. So our Vet said to let her eat as much as she wants because she needs to get some weight on. I got her some kitten chow and she's been eating that and also getting into our other cat's food. But would canned wet food help her gain some weight better? Or will that upset her belly? She is the sweetest little tortoise shell kitten and she's such a loveable little peanut.

My new puppy is turning very aggressive!?

Civil lawsuit, questions regarding process?

I have filed a suit against a former employer in Ohio. The other side has requested summary judgement basing the argument on an affidavit filed by the other side as well. I have proof the person who gave the affidavit lied, but my attorney wants to try to settle because he says we have a weak case. I know that the proponderence of evidence we present must be clear, I know it is our responsibility to prove everything, and so knowing, have collected the same. But my attorney will not move, I asked him to review evidence we have to refute the affidavit, but he has done nothing. Can I go to the Bar ociation, will that help at all, or can I ask the judge to ign a new attorney? Again, this is in Ohio. Thank you.
